Why I Started This Website
For the last several years, my A1C has consistently shown that I am in the prediabetes range. While my most recent test showed a slight improvement, it was still a wake-up call for me.
I realized that I didn’t want to ignore the warning signs and hope things would get better on their own. I wanted to take action now and make changes before prediabetes had the chance to progress into something more serious.
Like many people, I started searching online for answers. The problem was that there was so much conflicting information. One person says to avoid fat, another says to avoid carbs, and everyone seems to have a different opinion.
After doing my own research, I decided to try a lower-carb and keto lifestyle to see if it could help me improve my blood sugar, lose weight, and feel better overall.
Why Keto?
I chose keto because it made sense to me. Since carbohydrates have the biggest impact on blood sugar, reducing them seemed like a practical place to start.
I’m not interested in being perfect. I’m not trying to be a fitness model or a nutrition expert. My goal is simply to make better choices, be consistent, and improve my health one day at a time.
Some days are easier than others, and I know there will be setbacks along the way. That’s part of the journey.
